Guests should feel welcome the moment they walk into your business. Automatic Sliding Doors leave that lasting impression. Their quiet, sleek and automatic entrance allows everyone to enter or exit easily. This accessibility is important and required to meet AODA compliance and Ontario’s Building Code.
THE CHALLENGE
One King West Hotel had swing doors that caused bottle necking and traffic flow issues. The doors did not meet acccessibility standards for Ontario. Our challenge was to find a high-end product that worked in a small space to improve the movement of guests through the entrance. It also need to help with energy savings.
THE SOLUTION
We installed Automatic Sliding Doors Gyro Tech 1175 by Nabco at the entrance.
These beautiful all-glass Automatic Sliding Doors compliment the architecture of the building and make it easier for hundreds of people to go in and out every day. They are classy and sleek, creating a high-end first impression at the entrance of the hotel. Automatic doors offer various other benefits:
- Automatic Doors Keep Guests Moving Easily In and Out
These Automatic Sliding Doors allow for guests to travel through the entrance from many different directions in an area where space is very limited. This Automatic Sliding Door also allows for a clear opening that is much larger than the opening of the original swing door entrance. This means more people can move in and out of the hotel.
- Environmentally Friendly
Our Automatic Sliding Doors have sensors that open and close the doors automatically while allowing guests to enter and exit the building without touching the doors. This leads to less hold open times and limits the amount of air entering into the building, especially in cold weather conditions. This leads to a reduced use of energy required to heat and cool the building which saves energy and reduces costs.
- Ensure Guest Safety
Presence Sensors detect guests who remain within the entrance path. The Automatic Sliding Doors will stay open until the guests fully leave the sensor path, allowing for a safe entrance or exit of the building.
- Meet AODA Regulations & Ontario’s Building Code
Our Automatic Sliding Doors are approved by law in Canada ensuring AODA and Accessibility Code is achieved. We meet AODA for all of our commercial automatic door installations.
CONCLUSION
Our Automatic Sliding Doors benefit the hotel guests who enter and exit the building by improving traffic flow and eliminating bottle necking and traffic congestion. The beautiful entrance enhances the experience of entering the hotel and permits guests to freely and safely move through the entrance while meeting accessibility standards and saving money on energy costs.
